According to paragraph 13) of Article 2 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Protection of Breeding Achievements" (hereinafter referred to as the Law), a breeding achievement is a new variety of plants, a new breed of animal (including additional branches of animal husbandry, such as fur farming, rabbit breeding, maral breeding, mule breeding, reindeer breeding, donkey breeding, poultry, beekeeping, fish farming, dog breeding), which are the result of human creative activity, for which a patent has been issued. According to paragraph 1 of Article 4 of the Law, a breeding achievement must have novelty, uniformity and stability.

Copyright is the relationship that arises in connection with the creation and use of works of science, literature and art. Copyright includes property and non-property rights.

In accordance with paragraph 8 of Article 1 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 26, 1999 N456 "On Trademarks, Service Marks and Appellations of Origin of Goods" (hereinafter referred to as the Law), a trademark, service mark (hereinafter referred to as a trademark) is a designation registered in accordance with this Law or protected without registration by virtue of international treaties in which the Republic of Kazakhstan participates, serving to distinguish goods (services) of some legal entities or individuals from similar goods (services) of other legal entities or individuals.
