From July 15 to July 18, 2024, a Seminar on Good Agricultural Practices Standard was held at the QAZPATENT headquarters, organized by the Kazakhstan Association of Sugar Food and Processing Industry in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
GLOBALG.A.P. (Global Good Agricultural Practice) is an international system of quality and safety standards used in the production of agricultural products. It is used in enterprises involved in crop production, livestock farming, aquaculture and feed production. The main goal of GLOBALG.A.P. is to ensure integrity, transparency and harmonization of international best management practices in the field of agriculture.
During the seminar, issues of implementation of the GLOBALG.A.P. in the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed. Workshop organizers emphasized the importance of farmers understanding the good agricultural practice requirements. Also, practical aspects of procedures for exporting Kazakhstani products, known for their naturalness and excellent taste, were considered. Special attention was paid to explaining the importance of legal protection of means of individualization of exported goods.
