Today Qazpatent was visited by Berik Aryn, the Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security. Qazpatent Director Yerbol Ospanov introduced the guest to the activities of the national intellectual property office, and also spoke about the initiative being implemented in the Republic of Kazakhstan to accelerate the patenting of “green” inventions. During the visit, innovations in the field of agriculture, trends in the protection of selection achievements, and issues of technology transfer were discussed.
Berik Aryn expressed confidence that the intellectual property system is capable of contributing to solving food security problems, and also highly appreciated the efforts of Qazpatent to promote innovative initiatives.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to promote Kazakh inventions in the field of agriculture in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
