According to the item 1 of the Article 11 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Trademarks, Service Marks and Protected Designation of Origin", the examination of the application is carried out by the expert organization in stages:

1. The first stage - preliminary examination - is conducted within one months from the date of receipt of the application, during which the content of the application, the necessary documents in accordance with the requirements established by the Articles 5 and 9 of the Law "On Trademarks, Service Marks and Protected Designation of Origin" are checked.

Based on the results of the preliminary examination, the applicant (or his representative) is notified of the acceptance of the application for consideration.

2. The second stage - full examination - is conducted within seven months from the date of filing the application, during which the compliance of the claimed designation with the requirements established by the Articles 6 and 7 of the Law "On Trademarks, Service Marks and Protected Designation of Origin" is checked.

In accordance with the subitem 3) of the item 1 of the Article 11 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Trademarks, Service Marks and Protected Designation of Origin" at the applicant's written request, subject to additional payment, the examination of the application for a trademark is carried out earlier than the periods specified in the above-mentioned Law, but not earlier than six months from the date of filing the application.
