Qazpatent registered three brands from Akmola region

Three brands from Akmola region have been added to the Kazakhstan list of geographical indications: Kokshetau ice cream (Кокшетауское мороженое), Kokshetau butter (Кокшетауское масло)Burabay honey (BURABAY BALY).

Limited Liability Partnership "Gormolzavod" has registered a Kazakhstan brand - Kokshetau ice cream (Кокшетауское мороженое).

Ice cream is produced at Gormolzavod LLP within the geographical boundaries of Kokshetau city, Republic of Kazakhstan.

When registering a geographical indication, the special properties of the product must be associated with the characteristics, natural conditions or other factors characteristic of this geographical object.

Gormolzavod LLP of Kokshetau has existed for 52 years and produces creamy ice cream according to the old Soviet recipe from natural milk. Since 2016, the plant has launched the production of fruit ice cream.

The product is produced under the supervision of craftsmen with many years of experience, is hardened in freezers with a set temperature, and is transported in special refrigerators with temperature control to preserve the taste and quality of the natural product.

Kokshetau Gormolzavod is a brand known not only in Kazakhstan, but also in Russia. In 2017, at the ice cream festival in Astana, where domestic producers took part, as well as ice cream of Russian, Polish and Italian brands, the ice cream of the Kokshetau Gormolzavod was awarded the title of "Ice Cream of the Year-2017".

Gormolzavod LLP has also registered the geographical indication Kokshetau butter (Кокшетауское масло), which is produced in the city of Kokshetau.

Milk for the production of Kokshetau butter is supplied from dairy farms in the city of Kokshetau and the Akmola region. Milk is obtained from dairy breeds of cows that feed on the cleanest meadows of Kokshetau and the Akmola region, rich in herbs, an abundance of nutrients contained in the variety of juicy grasses of the meadows of Kokshetau and the Akmola region. The outskirts of Kokshetau, where dairy breeds of cows graze, are rich in natural clean reservoirs, the number of which exceeds eighty, which is also a distinctive feature of the region and an important factor in obtaining high-quality milk rich in vitamins and nutrients. At the same time, before entering production, milk undergoes a special selection, by means of laboratory research, examinations to maintain its taste, useful, natural and nutritional qualities.

Limited Liability Partnership "BurabayBioProduct" has registered the geographical indication Burabay honey (BURABAY BALY).

The apiary where BURABAY BALY honey is produced is located on the south-eastern slope of a small hill in the village of Urumkay, Burabay district, Akmola region.

BURABAY BALY honey has unique taste and medicinal qualities. They are due to the presence of nectar from a large number of plants in its composition, some of which grow exclusively in the territory of Burabay. Honey is collected in ecological zones and the best apiaries. The ecological purity of fields and mountains, a huge variety of honey plants are good conditions for obtaining real, aromatic honey. It is on high-mountain meadows and endless plains that such a valuable and useful product as mixed-herb honey is produced. This gift of nature is distinguished not only by its unique taste, but also by numerous useful properties. Bees collect nectar from mountain herbs, which has pronounced medicinal properties. Plants contain biologically active substances capable of restoring the integrity of damaged cells and their impaired functions.

BURABAY BALY honey has a rich vitamin composition, it has bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, tonic, wound-healing and immunomodulatory properties, increases the body's resistance to infections, strengthens the immune system, and helps remove waste and toxins from the body.
