On February 10, 2023 QAZPATENT hosted a Technology Commercialization Point on the topic: "Problems of technology licensing in Kazakhstan", organized by the JSC "Science Foundation", QAZPATENT and the PA "Chamber of Patent Attorneys of Kazakhstan".
The meeting is organized to identify technology licensing problems in Kazakhstan, share experience in licensing the results of scientific activities and develop recommendations (RSSTA) to improve the level of commercialization of RSSTA.
Welcoming speeches were made by Abdilda Shamenov, Chairman of the Board of the Science Foundation, Modangul Tagbergenova, Chairman of the Chamber of Patent Attorneys of Kazakhstan and Aidyn Artykova, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Intellectual Property.
Aydyn Artykova introduced the level of licensing of IPRs in Kazakhstan". They also discussed the problems and role of integration of science and business in licensing the results of scientific activities.
In addition, the experience of licensing scientific developments of Nazarbayev University, Kazatomprom, and the experience of licensing breeding achievements of Zeilkhan Tagaev were reviewed.
The event was attended by patent attorneys, representatives of the Science Foundation Business Partners Club, university commercialization offices and academics.
Recommendations were made at the end of the event.
