National Institute of Intellectual Property
On February 7, 2023, the Minister of Justice Azamat Eskarayev got acquainted with the activities and staff of the National Institute of Intellectual Property (QAZPATENT).
Director of Kazpatent Yerbol Ospanov presented to the Minister the results of the company's activities for 2022, voiced proposals for the development of intellectual property and the tasks set for 2023.
During the meeting, issues of further improvement of legislation in the field of intellectual property, strengthening of international partnership, strengthening of explanatory works and interaction with patent attorneys were discussed. The Minister also noted the ongoing work on the development of a network of Technology and Innovation Support Centers in Kazakhstan and the achievements of QAZPATENT in general.
At the same time, the Minister announced a number of tasks aimed at strengthening the role of intellectual property in the economic, scientific and cultural development of society.
"The sphere of intellectual property requires a very active and rapid reformation," Azamat Eskarayev said.
Following the meeting, the Minister thanked the staff for their contribution to the development of Kazakhstan's intellectual property system.
