National Institute of Intellectual Property
On the basis of the decision of the Republican state enterprise on the right of economic management "National Institute of Intellectual Property" of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the Service provider) on granting a patent and upon submission by the applicant of a document confirming payment for the services of the service provider for preparation of documents for patent granting and publication, information on the object of industrial property shall be entered into the State registers of inventions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In order to receive a public service, the applicant (hereinafter referred to as the service recipient) sends through the portal:
1) application with attachment of the documents specified in paragraph 8 of the list of basic requirements for the provision of the state service "Issuance of titles of protection in the field of industrial property" according to Annex 1, in the form of an electronic document signed by EDS. The application and attached documents shall be submitted in the Kazakh or Russian language.
Information on the document confirming payment is obtained by the service provider from the relevant state information system through the "e-government" portal.
The following shall be attached to the application:
2) electronic copy of the power of attorney in case the application for the provision of public service is submitted through a representative;
3) electronic copy of the request for early publication, if the service provider applies for rendering of the state service earlier than the terms stipulated by paragraph 1 of Article 26 of the Patent Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Term of rendering the state service: from the date of application receipt - within 10 (ten) working days.

- Issuance of a duplicate patent for an invention
The following documents shall be submitted when issuing a duplicate title of protection:
1) a petition in the form of an electronic document certified by the service recipient's EDS according to Annex 9 to these Rules;
2) electronic copy of the power of attorney if the application for public service is submitted through a representative.
Information on the document confirming payment is obtained by the service provider from the relevant state information system through the "e-government" portal.
Term of rendering the state service: from the date of application receipt - within 10 (ten) working days.
