National Institute of Intellectual Property
October 16-17, 2025 in Almaty took place a seminar on «Collective management of copyright and related rights», organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the Eurasian Economic Commission (ECE) with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
The event was attended by representatives of international and national organizations on collective rights management, as well as experts from Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Turkey, Belarus, Armenia and Georgia.
In the framework of the third session of the seminar dedicated to «Development and digitalization of collective rights management system», the director of the National Intellectual Property Institute (Qazpatent) Sabit Akhmetov took part.
The seminar addressed issues of effective functioning of organizations for collective management, ensuring transparency of their activities, protection of rights holders' interests, as well as the introduction of digital tools for accounting and distribution of remuneration.
