National Institute of Intellectual Property
On October 6, 2025, the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted the grand opening of the Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC).
The event began with a round table, the purpose of which was to discuss the prospects of theTISC's activities, issues of legal protection and commercialization of intellectual property results, as well as strengthening the cooperation of science, business and government agencies.
Zhanna Kurmangalieva, Member of the Board and Vice–Rector for Science and Commercialization of ENU, and Aydin Artykova, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Intellectual Property (Qazpatent), addressed the participants with welcoming remarks.
The participants of the round table emphasized that the new Center will become a strategically important platform for supporting innovative initiatives of students and young scientists, as well as strengthening cooperation between the university, business and government institutions.
The official opening ceremony of the center took place after the round table. Its main tasks will be assistance in filing applications for intellectual property, conducting patent research and advising on the protection and commercialization of scientific developments.
The establishment of the Center on the basis of the ENU will give a new impetus to the development of the country's innovation ecosystem and contribute to the formation of a competitive economy in Kazakhstan.
