On October 2, 2025, the panel session “AI and Innovation Lifecycle: Synergy of Kazakhstan’s Development Institutions” took place at the EXPO International Exhibition Center in Astana within the framework of the international forum Digital Bridge 2025.
The session convened the heads of major national development institutions operating in the fields of science, digitalization, industry, investment, and trade. The panel featured the participation of Mr. Sabit Akhmetov, Director of Qazpatent; Mr. Sanat Zholdykhan, Chairman of the Management Board of QazInnovations; Mr. Arman Ashkin, Chairman of the Management Board of the Science Fund; Mr. Aitmukhamed Aldazharov, Chief Executive Officer of QazTrade; Mr. Didar Karimsakov, Chairman of the Management Board of Qazaqstan Investment Corporation; and Mr. Marat Yelibayev, Chairman of the Management Board of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan.
Prior to the commencement of the discussion, a Memorandum of Strategic Partnership among development institutions in the fields of science, digitalization, and industry was signed.
During the session, the participants addressed key issues related to the innovation and AI solutions lifecycle, the synergies between science, digitalization, and industry, as well as the establishment of a consistent and coordinated system for supporting technological projects. In his remarks, Mr. Sabit Akhmetov underscored the pivotal role of intellectual property in driving innovation, stressing that effective protection and management of intellectual property rights are essential for the development of a sustainable innovation ecosystem and for Kazakhstan’s integration into the global knowledge economy.
