On June 27, 2024, Qazpatent was visited by Joyce Miller, international evaluation consultant, the Global Cleantech Innovation Program in Kazakhstan (GCIP-Kazakhstan) led by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
GCIP is a UNIDO programme to promote cleantech innovation and entrepreneurship in emerging market and developing economies to address climate challenges and foster sustainable development. GCIP-Kazakhstan is aimed at strengthening of institutional capacity and implementation of innovative solutions in the field of clean technologies in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Yerden Kussain, Deputy Director, Qazpatent, introduced the international evaluation consultant to the main activities of Qazpatent, outlining the ongoing program for accelerated examination of applications for inventions in the field of renewable energy sources, as well as the other initiatives of the national intellectual property office to promote inventive activity in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The visit was made within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation between Qazpatent and the NJSC «International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center».
