National Institute of Intellectual Property
On December 14 this year Qazpatent experts acted as speakers at the workshop: "On the results of mutual cooperation with stakeholders in the field of intellectual property", organized by the Department of Justice of Akmola region. The workshop was held on the basis of Shokan Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University with the participation of representatives of the Department of Education of Akmola region, teachers, students.
Qazpatent experts, who acted as speakers, presented detailed information on various aspects of intellectual property. Ayagul Abitbekova shared her experience in the field of geographical indications and development of regional brands, Altynai Taisheva spoke about the legal protection of trademarks in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Nazifa Baktybayeva presented the project "Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs)".
Currently, there are 23 TISCs successfully functioning in Kazakhstan, which play a key role in supporting inventors and entrepreneurs. Qazpatent actively supports these centers, ensuring their effective functioning through training of coordinators, providing information and training materials, as well as supporting awareness raising activities.
It should be noted that the agreement on the establishment of the Technology and Innovation Support Center on the basis of Shokan Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University was signed in April this year.
At the end of the workshop, the director of the Higher School of Law and Business A. Zh. Iskakov expressed gratitude to the speakers of Qazpatent for their valuable contribution, presenting certificates of appreciation.
As part of the trip to Kokshetau, the speakers also visited the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Akmola region and took an active part in a round table on the topic: "Protection of the local brand". Representatives of the innovation community of the region received valuable recommendations from experts, who emphasized the importance of registering geographical indications, developing regional brands for economic support of the region, and increasing the investment attractiveness of the subjects of the Akmola region.
