On October 13, Qazpatent jointly with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a seminar for judges of the city Court on the topic "Issues in the field of intellectual property".
Intellectual property plays a key role in the modern world, influencing economic growth, innovation and competitiveness of the country. By increasing the importance of intellectual property, the protection of intellectual property becomes of unprecedented importance.
Given the importance of the judicial role in dispute resolution, the need for continuous improvement of judges' knowledge in the field of intellectual property has increased.
Within the framework of the seminar, the participants were exposed to the issues of legal protection of copyright, legal protection of a trademark in the Republic of Kazakhstan: identification of similarities to the extent of interference, topical issues in the field of patenting, issues of litigation in the field of intellectual property.
Vice Minister Zhakselekova B. Sh. noted the importance of further improving legislation in the field of intellectual property and ensuring uniform law enforcement practice in order to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens.
Chairman of the Astana City Court Zhumagulov A.M. noted the need to understand the specifics of the intellectual property sphere, the impact of court decisions on the intellectual property market as a whole.
Following the results of the seminar, the participants reached an agreement on further cooperation and joint activities on intellectual property issues.
