On October 13, Qazpatent held a panel session on the topic "AI as a New Era of IP: Current Trends and Challenges" within the framework of the International Technology Forum "Digital Bridge 2023".
The event was organized to promote and develop the field of intellectual property in the context of development and implementation of artificial intelligence.
The moderator of the panel session was Tolesh Kaudyrov, Professor of Maqsut Narikbayev University, Patent Attorney of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Eurasian Patent Attorney.
The speakers of the panel session were Botagoz Zhakselekova – Vice Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Christopher Campbell-Holt - Registrar and Chief of Staff of the AIFC and MAC Court, Beibit Abdikenov – CEO of ReLive, Aliya Seitova – Senior Lawyer of Dentons Kazakhstan and Shyngys Temir – member of the Board of the Coalition of Corporate Lawyers Aqiqat.
The speakers of the panel session discussed topical issues of the impact of AI on the patent system and changes in patent strategies, legal aspects of the use of AI: foreign experience and judicial practice, as well as the use of AI as a tool for creating new intellectual property objects.
