On August 29-30, 2023, in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) together with the World Intellectual Property Organization and the State Service for Intellectual Property and Innovation under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic held a regional seminar on strengthening the capacity of technoparks to commercialize intellectual property (IP) in EAPO member states on "IP valuation" in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.
The seminar was attended by representatives of technoparks and IP offices of Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Armenia, participating in the pilot project to enhance the capacity of technoparks in the field of commercialization of the results of intellectual activity.
The seminar covered the issues of IP valuation in educational institutions, basic principles of intangible assets valuation, methodologies and their limitations, pledge of exclusive rights to intellectual property objects, advanced methods based on income.
