On June 29, 2023, an online workshop was held for national intellectual property Offices, organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization in cooperation with the China National Intellectual Property Administration on the topic "Transitioning to Editable PDF Documents".
The workshop discussed effective ways of exchanging documents between WIPO and Member-countries, demonstration of new platforms prepared by WIPO to facilitate work on the Madrid System as well as views on the future based on these topics.
Qazpatent was invited by WIPO in order to deliver work experience with editable PDF documents. As a speaker participated an examiner of the Department of trademarks, geographical indications, appellations of origin and industrial designs - Yerbol N. on the topic "Insights from Member Offices Using Editable PDFs". The examiner highlighted a new way of using editable PDF documents: adapted use of the Automated Information System of Qazpatent as an alternative to the Industrial Property Administration System of WIPO (IPAS).
