In the framework of the VI Astana Economic Forum held panel session "Protection of intellectual property on the Internet: Challenges and Prospects"

On May 24, 2013 in Astana in the frameworkof the VI Astana Economic Forum will be held panel session: "The protection of intellectual property on the Internet: Challenges and Prospects."

The event will be attended by representatives of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Eurasian Economic Commission for Europe (ECE), the Union of Copyright in Central and Eastern Europe (CEECA), the European branch of Microsoft Corporation, the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO), the heads of state authorities and patent offices of countries of UIS, as well as the authors and copyright holders.

Presentations by leading international experts in the field of intellectual property and IT-technologies. Thus, the expected performance of the Chairman of the Union of copyright in Central and Eastern Europe (CEECA) Mihaly Ficsor on "New perspectives and issues of copyright in the age of Internet technology."

The purpose of the panel session is to discuss problematic issues in the area of Internet and the development of proposals to fight crime in this area at the level of international experts.

At the end of the panel session will be a press conference with the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Imashev, Tlevlessova Saule, acting chief on section of the Caucasus, Central Asia and Eastern Europe Department of the countries with economies in transition and developed countries of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Mihaly Fiscor, chairman of the Union of copyright in Central and Eastern Europe (CEECA).
