The awarding ceremony of "Shapagat-2016" Republican contest of achievements in the field of inventiveness was held in the framework of the World Intellectual Property Day on April 26, 2016. The contest was organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and "National Institute of Intellectual Property” Republican State Enterprise.
The administration of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of education and sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Ministry of investments and developments of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as Ms. Saule Tlevlessova, President of the Eurasian Patent Organization, Ms. Mi Young Han , President of the World Women inventors and entrepreneurs Association, patent attorneys and other persons concerned have attended the awarding ceremony.
The contest was held in following nominations:
• Invention of the Year
• Woman-inventor
• The youngest inventor (16-29 years)
• Young talent (up to the age 16)
The winners of "Invention of the Year" nomination were defined as follows:
- In the field of chemistry - the winner is «Nazarbayev University Research and Innovation System» private institution for the "Water lithium-ion battery" invention;
- In the field of medicine - Imamov Zafar Garafiddinovich, neurologist with the highest qualification category for the invention on "Apparatus for traction treatment of spine disorders against the background of a steam relaxation";
- In the field of communications - Kadyrov Jannat Nurgalievich for "The device reducing cavitation influence during the motion of the torpedo" invention;
- In the field of oil and gas and mining industries - Mendebaev Toktamys Nesipkulovich for "The process of the system of multilateral boreholes" invention;
- In the field of agriculture, processing of agricultural products "Scientific-Production Association" LLP for the discovery of the method of tripanosomoznogo antigen” invention.
The winner in "Woman-Inventor» nomination is:
- Alimardanova Maryam Kalabaevna, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Technical Sciences.
The winner in "Young talent" nomination is:
- Tuleubaev Yernur, 10th grade student of the regional multi-profile boarding school for gifted children of Pavlodar city.
The winner in "The youngest inventor" nomination is:
- Turgumbaeva Aknur Amanbekovna, teacher of the S. D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, PhD.
The "Honored Inventor of the Republic of Kazakhstan" honorary titles were conferred to:
- Praliev Kaldybaev Dzhaylovovich, Doctor of Technical sciences, Professor, academician;
- Nukeshev Sayakhat Orazovich, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor, academician of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Kazakhstan, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Eurasian Patent Organization presents its special award for Kazakhstani inventors in the framework of contest over the past years. V.I. Blinnikov gold medal of Eurasian patent organization was awarded to L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University this year. Tlevlessova Saule Yanvarbekovna, President of the Eurasian Patent Organization awarded the Medal to Somzhurek Baubek Zhumashevich, Vice - rector on international relation and innovation issues of
L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) also highly notes Kazakhstani innovators. In 2016 WIPO Medal for Inventor was presented to “National center on complex processing of mineral raw materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan” RSE, WIPO Trophy for Schoolchildren was awarded to Akhmet Alina, pupil in chemistry-biological direction of “Nazarbayev intellectual schools” of Shymkent city for “Smart house” science project.
Also “Shapagat” diplomas were awarded for “contribution to innovative development”. By the result of contest the diplomas were awarded to:
- Susanov Yuriy Aslanovich – author of patented invention on “Solar panel” “YURASUS”;
- Abugaliyev Kabylbek Rizabekovich – candidate of medical sciences, head of Surgery section of “National Scientific Center for Oncology and Transplantation” JSC;
- Kim Boris Nicolayevich – technical director of “SKK-Project” Ltd.
- Mendibayev Raphail Ganievich – candidate of chemical sciences, senior specialist of science of “Gas and oil institute of Atyrau”;
- Abugaliyeva Aigul Izteleuovna – doctor of biological sciences, head of biochemistry and quality of agricultural production laboratory of “Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Plant growing” LLP;
Commission of the Contest has approved the additional “Diplomas of sponsor” this year. The winner of diploma of “Icemaster – icecream” general sponsor is Rakhmadieva Sluken Bigalievna, doctor of chemical sciences, professor of chemistry department, director of “Biorganical chemistry” Research institute of of Eurasian National University, the winner of next diploma of “Kazzinc holding” sponsor are Amangeldiyev Askhat Serikuly and Alikhanova Altynay, pupils of boarding school for gifted children of Kyzylorda city.
Also, due to promote and support the innovative activity, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and "National Institute of Intellectual Property" Republican State Enterprise held contests like "Guarding intellectual property" among journalists and "The future is in your hands: do invent and create" among schoolchildren for the best material about intellectual property. In the framework of the "Shapagat - 2016" awarding ceremony the winners of the above competition were awarded too.
