Delegation of Kazakhstan made a working visit to EAPO

12 December 2018, the delegation from Kazakhstan headed by the Director of the Department of intellectual property rights MJ RK Ms Yessembayeva, Director of National Institute of Intellectual Property of Kazakhstan Mr Ospanov, Deputy Director Mr Kuantyrov and other representatives of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan met with the President of the EAPO Ms Tlevlessova.

At the meeting the sides discussed issues on bilateral cooperation, in particular to digitize the office and reduce the duration of consideration of applications, the future of electronic interaction between EAPO and the National Institute of Intellectual Property on the issues of the shipment of Eurasian applications, appeals and quality control, cooperation between EAPO and the National Institute of Intellectual Property in relation to the analysis of law enforcement practice on disputes concerning the validity of Eurasian patents in the Republic of Kazakhstan, etc.
