A seminar on on the filing of applications and procedures for registration of trademarks, appellations of origin and industrial designs in RSE "NIIP"

On April 29, 2019 held a seminar on the filing of applications and procedures for registration of trademarks, appellations of origin and industrial designs in RSE "NIIP"

The seminar was attended by entrepreneurs, representatives of the Chamber of entrepreneurs of the city of Nur - Sultan, patent attorneys and other interested parties.

The seminar was held to promote the registration of industrial property, explain the stages of the examination, familiarization with the procedure of international registration of trademarks, law enforcement practice of intellectual property protection.

The seminar was opened with a welcoming speech by Asemgul Kazieva, Head of the Department of trademarks, appellations of origin and industrial designs. In her speech, she noted the importance of legal protection of intellectual property and the advantages of such protection.

Reports on the examination were made by Dinara Kusainova, Head of the preliminary examination of trademarks with the theme: “Requirements for filing trademark applications. Preliminary examination” and by Assel Shakuanova, Head of the Department of trademarks and appellations of origin of goods with the theme: “Legal protection trademarks and appellations of origin of goods in the Republic of Kazakhstan” as well as Aittolkyn Kuttybaeva, Chief expert of the Department of industrial designs with the theme: “Legal protection of industrial designs in the Republic of Kazakhstan” and Aigerim Suleimenova, Chief expert of the Department of examination of international trademarks with the theme: “International registration of trademarks (Madrid system)”.

According to the procedure of electronic filing of applications for industrial property objects, the head of the information security department of the patent information management and automation of examination stages of the RSE “NIIP" Abylay Tulegenov made the report “Informational interaction of the RSE “NIIP".

Based on the results of the seminar, comprehensive and qualified answers to the questions of the participants were provided and consultations were given.

At the end, the participants thanked the team of RSE “NIIP" for organizing the seminar, noting its relevance and significance.
