On May 14, Gulbarshin Kaziyeva, Chief Expert of Qazpatent, delivered a lecture on “Patent Protection for Technologies in Chemistry, Biology and Medicine” during a meetup at Nazarbayev University.
The lecture covered distinctions between inventions and utility models, key requirements for filing, and essential aspects considered during the examination of applications in these fields.
The event was organized under the Founders’ School program by the Sustainable Innovation and Technology Foundation (SITF) with support from the Social Development Fund of Nazarbayev University.
In the future, it is planned to hold such training events for other interested stakeholders in the field of intellectual property.
