In Loving Memory of Larisa Panova

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Larisa Panova on January 2, 2025. She was an outstanding professional, a long-time employee of the Patent Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and a wonderful person. 

Ms. Panova was born in 1951 and dedicated her life to serving science and the field of patent law. After receiving her education at the Almaty Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages and the Central Institute for Advanced Studies in Patent Law, she made an invaluable contribution to the development of patent law in Kazakhstan.

Her professional career began in 1973, and over the years, she held key positions, working as a translator, patent specialist, and expert. Larisa Panova devoted more than 36 years to the Patent Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where she conducted complex research, consulted colleagues, participated in educational initiatives, and made significant contributions to the development of intellectual property.

For her dedicated work, Larisa Panova received numerous accolades, including jubilee medals celebrating the 20th and 25th anniversaries of the Patent Office, as well as the 25th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Qazpatent team extends heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues. Her professionalism, kindness, and tireless work will forever remain in our hearts.
