31 May, 2024

From 26 to 31 May this year Qazpatent representatives, Anel Kussainova, Advisor to the Director, and Inkara Shertysheva, Head of Development and International Cooperation Department, participated in a training seminar for heads of international relations departments organised by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) in Beijing. The theme of the seminar was ‘One Belt and One Road’ initiative.

During the seminar Inkara Shertysheva presented a report in which she gave a detailed account of the current achievements and prospects of the Kazakhstani office. It should be noted that representatives of all 25 countries participating in the event made their country reports.

The Chinese side presented a number of projects planned for the near future, aimed at strengthening international co-operation in the field of intellectual property.

At the end of the seminar, all participants were awarded certificates of training.

In addition, within the framework of the seminar, the participants visited major companies ISoftStone and Alibaba, where they were shown the best practices in the field of intellectual property and anti-counterfeiting methods.

It is important to note that the Memorandum of Cooperation with the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China was signed in Astana on 10 September 2017. This document became the basis for interaction and development of partnership relations in the field of intellectual property.
