The Olympiad is held annually by the RGAIS together with the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) with the support of the Eurasian Patent Organization and the CIS Executive Committee.
The main contingent of the Olympiad are 11th grade students of general education institutions and college graduates from the regions of the Russian Federation, CIS member states and foreign countries.
Registration is open until March 11, 2024.
The Olympiad is traditionally held in three rounds:
Round I (from December 25, 2023 to March 11, 2024) - online testing on IP issues,
Round II (from February 1 to March 18, 2024) - a competition of written scientific papers on IP topics set by the expert committee of RGAIS,
Round III (April 26, 2024) - defense of scientific papers before the expert committee, which determines the winner of the Olympiad (online participation is possible).
Every year the winners receive prizes, memorable gifts from the partners of the Olympiad, and most importantly additional points for admission to RGAIS.
