On October 12-13, Qazpatent with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) held the II TISC Congress "Integration of TISC Resources for Technological Development of Regions".
On October 12-13, 2023 Qazpatent with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) held the II TISC Congress "Integration of TISC Resources for Technological Development of Regions" (TISC Congress). The main purpose of the event is to share experience in order to determine the necessary conditions, resources and further development of TISCs. As well as to discuss issues and prospects for further cooperation.
Aydyn Artykova, Deputy Director of Qazpatent, opened the TISC Congress, noting the importance of the work of TISCs in the regions in providing inventors with access to high quality technical information, exchange of ideas and experience on a regional basis. WIPO's welcome video address was delivered by Andrew Czajkowski, Director, Technology and Innovation Support Division, IP for Innovators Department, IP Ecosystems and Innovation Sector, WIPO.
The first day of the TISC Congress started with a presentation by WIPO's Alexander Belianov, expert from the Technology and Innovation Support Division, IP for Innovators Department, IP and Innovation Ecosystems Sector; continued with a presentation by Venera Imangazieva, representative of the national TISC network of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan; and online presentations by Sunnatulla Rakhmonov, representative of the national network of Uzbekistan and Parviz Rajabzoda, representative of the national TISC network of the Republic of Tajikistan. The hybrid format of the congress united more than 60 online participants. Nazifa Baktybaeva, TISC coordinator, spoke about the development of TISC project implementation in Kazakhstan.
The second day of the Congress was held in the format of a round table with presentations by TISC coordinators, where the best practices of TISC development were presented. Presentations were made by Madi Suyundukov, coordinator of TISC at Nazarbayev University; Abdulla Saipov, coordinator of TISC at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University; and M. Auezov, coordinator of TISC at M.Auezov South Kazakhstan State University. M.Auezov" MNIHE RK and other participants of the Congress.
Following the results of the Congress, speeches of international and national speakers were heard, the results of the TISC project implementation in Kazakhstan were discussed, and prospective implementation plans were outlined. The participants of the Congress were recognized with WIPO certificates and letters of appreciation on behalf of the Director of Qazpatent.
The work of the TISC Congress was continued with a visit to the International Forum Digital Bridge 2023.
