Director of Qazpatent Yerbol Ospanov and his deputy Aisha Zhumabekova met with Commissioner of the Japanese Patent Office Mr. Hamano. During the meeting, issues of future bilateral cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of intellectual property management in order to improve national IP systems and services provided were discussed.
During the discussions, the Japanese side shared Japan's experience in joining the Hague System, its advantages, as well as the specifics of the procedure for patenting industrial designs under this system.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was made to consolidate their intentions on cooperation by concluding a Memorandum of Cooperation, as well as to create a working group of experts from the two departments for mutual research of national intellectual property systems.
