On December 6, at the Qazpatent site, a round table was held on the topic: “Conducting technological forecasting in the direction of MedTech”. The organizer of the event is “National Agency for the Development of Innovations “QazInnovations” JSC.
The round table was attended by representatives of two interested government agencies of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of the School of Medicine of AEO Nazarbayev University, NAO Karaganda Medical University, the Republican Center for Health Development (NCJSC) and representatives of the pharmaceutical industry.
The event was moderated by the Chairman of the Board of QazInnovations Akhanov Sanat Zholdykhanovich, who announced the main goal of the event, aimed at developing proposals to improve the efficiency of the innovation ecosystem of Kazakhstan, in particular, to improve the healthcare system to improve the health and quality of life of citizens of Kazakhstan.
In an open discussion, the participants discussed topical issues of introducing new MedTech technologies. The opinions of some participants agreed to support an approach based on the experience of advanced countries and organizations, while others believe that it is necessary to concentrate all efforts on domestic start-ups.
Of great interest to the participants of the discussion was the patent analysis of medical technologies, presented by the Deputy Head of the Department of Inventions, Utility Models and Selection Achievements of Qazpatent Guldana Kairzhanovna Kozhakhmetova.
The round table was summarized by a common decision to join forces to conduct high-quality Foresight research in the MedTech direction.
Qazpatent will continue to act as a dialogue platform for organizing various areas (Science Foundation, QazInnovations, IMBC, etc.) that bring together representatives of science and business.
