Committee on Intellectual Property Rights of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with the National Institute of Intellectual Property in accordance with the Order of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 79 of 10.03.2010, the Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan № 77/1 of 22.02.2010, the Minister of Industry and trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 74 of 10.03.2010 in Astana holds an annual republic contest of achievements in the field of invention "Shapaғat."
The goal of Contestis to note and encourage the best achievements of Kazakhstan science and inventive act, to support industrial – innovative activity.
Contest challenges:increase of intellectual property role in the Republic of Kazakhstan, stimulation of inventive act and innovation activity, assistance to investment attraction in inventive and innovation spheres.
The Contest is carried out in accordance with “Rules of Carrying out of Republican achievement Contest in the field of inventive act” thereafter in Contest participate national patentees, who have valid innovation patents and invention patents, information concerning their issuance are publishedin 2011in following nominees:
- “Invention of the year” – three awards
- “Woman inventor” – two awards
- “The youngest inventor”
- “The most active inventor”
- “Talented Child”.
Within the framework of this Contest in nominee “Talented Child” the nominee is selected from school students and students in 14-18 ages, who engaged in reasearch activities in specific fields of industry, whose works could be referred to most perspective developments and responding originality, technical level and profitability and other criterias.
In this nominee could participate scientific works,not protectedby innovation patent or patent.
Also provided special awards of World Intellectual Property Organization and the gold medal of V.I.Blinnikov “For contribution to the inventor and patent case” for rewarding of inventors
Solemn ceremony of winners rewarding will take placeon Мay 24, 2012 in Astana, within the V Astana Economical Forum.
The Contest event will be covered by mass media.
