On March 5, 2014 in the conference hall "Abylay Khan" of the hotel "Zhumbaktas" held a round table on the protection of intellectual property rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Organizers of the event are the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Committee on Intellectual Property Rights of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan (after - the Committee) and the Association "Kazakhstan Foreign Investors' Council.
In the event was attended by Vice - Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan M. Kusainov, Chairman of Committee A. Yestayev, Deputy Director of Business Development of the Eurasian Economic Commission S. Aliyev, representatives of state agencies and foreign companies, patent attorneys.
In the frame of the round table discussed topical issues of harmonization of legislation in the field of intellectual property in the process of integration into the Customs Union, the issues of parallel imports, protection of trademarks in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the interaction of state bodies in the fight against counterfeiting.
Proposals on the basis of the participants of the round table will be included in a single set of recommendations for interim meeting of Foreign Investors Council under the chairmanship of the Prime - Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
