The Republican seminar on "Development and competitiveness in the field of industrial property"

Committee on Intellectual Property Rights of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with RSE "National Institute of Intellectual Property" on April 29 - 30 of this year in Almaty organized a Republican seminar on "Development and competitiveness in the field of industrial property".

The workshop consisted of three blocks and covers the following areas:

- The protection of intellectual property;

- Effective use of intellectual property;

- Mechanisms to protect the rights of intellectual property.

The first block of the seminar aims to registration and obtaining protection for industrial property rights, including in the framework of the integration process of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Belarus , the Russian Federation , on the start of business i

nnovation , business strategy reassessment .

The second block of the seminar directed to the use of protected intellectual property of Republic of Kazakhstan, the measures taken to simplify the procedure for registration of inventions and patents on the experience of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development on parallel importation and use of retrospective trademarks.

Particular attention is paid to the provision of public services, including in electronic form through the portal of "electronic government". Carried out stepwise presentation providing electronic public services "Patents for inventions".

Today, the work of the seminar continued, will focus on pre-trial regulation of intellectual property disputes , effective methods of suppressing counterfeiting in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the measures taken by the customs authorities to protect the rights of intellectual property , the measures taken by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption , as well as improvement of legislation in the field of intellectual property.

Aligozhin, employees of the RSE "National Institute of Intellectual Property", President of the Intellectual Property Owners Association of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Academician of the International Academy of Informatization B.Kurmangali, Director of the Department for Promotion of SEZ PIT JSC "Management Company of the special economic zone. Information Technology Park" E. Kondybai, Eurasian patent attorney M. Tagbergenova, Senior Lieutenant of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption (Financial Police) of Almaty A. Kipshakbayev, a Leading Specialist of the Department of Customs Control of Almaty K. Sekerbekov, Head of the Department for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights of the Department of Justice of Almaty E. Baymoldin.

The seminar was attended by representatives of government and law enforcement agencies, non-governmental organizations, patent attorneys , representatives of small and medium-sized businesses , as well as representatives of higher education institutions .
