Roving training seminar on "Legislation of Kazakhstan on intellectual property issues. Electronic filing of applications for industrial property. Legal protection of trademarks" was held in the "Union of food enterprises of Kazakhstan" in the "Union of food enterprises of Kazakhstan" on August 4, 2016 by the Training Center of the branch of RSE "NIIP" in Almaty.
Following lectures were given: "Legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues of intellectual property, acting on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and "The use of industrial property rights" by V.P. Fedurin, chief examiner of the Department of patent researches on inventions; "Electronic filing of applications for industrial property rights" by B.O. Nazarov, Chief specialist of the Training center; "The concept of a trademark, law norms in the field of trademarks, trademark functions" and "Legal protection of appellations of origin" by T.V. Gorbunova, chief examiner of the Department of analytical researches on trademarks and industrial designs.
This seminar was attended by representatives of the Union of food enterprises of Kazakhstan, namely: LLP "The first brewery", LLP "Hamley Company LTD", LLP "BBC Aksay", expert of UFEK, LLP “Eurasia Foods”, “Danone” company.
Many questions regarding the registration and protection of trademarks, logos, and content of contracts for the transfer of rights to industrial property objects and their role in the business were given by seminar participants, exhaustive explanations and qualified responses were received.
