International conference "Green Bridge - a bridge to green technologies, innovation and affordable energy" dedicated to the implementation of international initiative of Kazakhstan "Green Bridge" Partnership Program", organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Coalition for "green economy" and development of G-Global, International Secretariat of G-Global and other international organizations, was held on September 14, 2016.
The program "Green Bridge" is one of the brightest international initiatives of Kazakhstan, which was launched in 2010 at the III Astana Economic Forum by the President N.A. Nazarbayev. The program was approved by all countries at the 2012 UN Summit "Rio + 20" and has become a platform for the promotion of Expo 2017.
The Conference consisted of a plenary session and panel session "Green Bridge as a provider of environmental industrialization of the economy" as well as the round table "Mechanisms of economic stimulation and supporting green business".
The Conference was attended by A.A. Khabidenova, Head of the Direction on Contracts Examination of RSE "NIIP" MJ RK, who described the activities of RSE "NIIP" MJ RK in terms of granting patents for inventions and shared information on implementation of a mechanism of an expedited review of "green" patent applications in 2015, and explained the conditions and benefits of an expedited review of applications, as well as provided an overview of already issued patents for "green" technologies in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
