The second visit of specialists of the Korean Institute of Patent Information (KIPI) to the RSE "National Institute of Intellectual Property" in the framework of an preliminary stage of the project on research and modernization of AIS NIIP database (automated information system of RSE "NIIP"), implemented by the Korean side, was held on September 20-21, 2016. Earlier, the Memorandum of understanding on cooperation for the improvement and development of automated data system for NIIP was signed between RSE "NIIP" and the Korean Intellectual Property Office.
During the visit, representatives of KIPI carried out research on business processes of intellectual property, technical potential of AIS NIIP, information and communication infrastructure of RSE "NIIP". Also, representatives of KIPI carried out presentation of the Korean search service on intellectual property rights for RSE "NIIP" experts (Korean Intellectual Property Rights Information Service - KIPRIS) and acquainted with its technical capabilities of the search for all industrial property objects.
In continuation of the preliminary stage of the research experts of RSE "NIIP" will take part in a workshop on capacity building in Seoul and Daejeon (Republic of Korea) in October-November, during which the experience of administrative information system of the Korean Patent Office KIPOnet will be examined (analogue of AIS NIIP) and preliminary recommendations on the modernization of AIS NIIP will be given.
