National Institute of Intellectual Property
On September 30, 2016 at 10.00 in Almaty Technological University Public hearing on the draft law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On amendments and supplements to some legislative acts on legislation improvement in the field of intellectual property” (hereinafter – draft law) was held with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Justice, RSE “National Institute of Intellectual Property” (hereinafter – RSE “NIIP” of MJ of RK) and academic teaching staff of the university.
Kizatova M. Zh., vice principal on science and innovations of ATU, opened the public hearing with welcome speech.
Director of the Intellectual Property Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yestayev A.K. presented the draft law.
Chief of copyright and related rights division of the Intellectual Property Department Kaken G.K. gave a speech on amendments and supplements on certain objects of intellectual property (in terms of amendments on copyright and related rights), consultant of the RSE “NIIP” Abenova A.B. (amendments on publication of applications upon entry to the office, examination and registration of trademarks), Head of inventions and utility models examination department Ilyasova G.K. (amendments of patent legislation), Head of contracts examination department Khabidenova A.A. (simplification of contract registration procedure).
Public hearing participants discussed certain norms of the draft law and promoted amendments.
