Online seminar on the registration and legal protection of industrial property objects, organized by the Ministry of Justice and the RSE "NIIP" with the support of NCE "Atameken" was held in CE "Atameken" in Almaty on October 26, 2016 in accordance with claim 31 of the Operational Plan of the Ministry of Justice for 2016.
The online seminar via videoconference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Justice, NCE "Atameken", NIIP, national companies and small and medium-sized businesses of eleven regions of Kazakhstan (Atyrau, Aktobe, Kyzylorda, Taldykorgan, Kostanay, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Astana, Pavlodar, Karaganda, Kokshetau, Petropavlovsk).
Online seminar was opened by moderator, head of Direction on analytical research on trademarks and industrial designs of Almaty branch of RSE "NIIP" Zh.Omarbekova.
Head of Direction on Registration and Formal Examination of Inventions, Utility Models and Selection Achievements K.Iskakova (Procedure for the filing and registration of inventions and utility models), Head of Direction on Examination of Trademarks and Appellations of Origin A.Shakuanova (Procedure for filing and registration of trademarks, appellations of origin), Head of the Direction on Examination of Industrial Designs N.Issabekov (Procedure for the filing and registration of industrial designs), Head of Direction on Examination on International Applications for Trademarks A.Kaziyeva (The main provisions of the draft Treaty on Trademarks, Service Marks and Appellations of Origin of the Eurasian Economic Union), Head of Direction on Information and Information Resources A.Ashenova (E-filing system in RSE "NIIP) made presentations.
In addition, Deputy Director of DIP MJ RK S.Nurimbetova made a presentation on the main provisions of the Draft law “On amendments and supplements to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the improvement of legislation in the field of intellectual property”.
Many questions regarding the registration and legal protection of industrial property objects and electronic filing were asked by online seminar participants and exhaustive explanations and qualified responses received.
