The seminar on "Legislation of Kazakhstan on the issues of intellectual property and the "Shapagat" contest" was held in the Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical University by the branch of RSE "NIIP" in Almaty on November 15, 2016. Associate professors, candidates of sciences, heads of various academic departments, heads of departments, researchers and University teachers took part in the seminar.
Moderator and chief specialist of the Training center of the RSE “NIIP” branch Zh.A. Serikbayeva opened the seminar.
According to the prior approval program of the seminar the branch’s employees made presentations on the following issues:
- Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (as amended and supplemented) on intellectual property issues;
- Promotion of invention and innovation in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Seminar participants asked a set of questions regarding the registration of intellectual property objects, procedures for issuance of documents of title to the IP objects, copyright, terms of protection and etc. Speakers of the Branch of the RSE “NIIP” gave explanations to all of questions.
At the end of the seminar on behalf of the participants the head of the University Office of Science and International Relations, Gaukhar Umiraliyevna Baytasheva thanked the employees of the branch of the RSE “NIIP” for presented information on the issues of IP and suggested to hold similar seminars on the objects of copyright and selection achievements.
