Almaty branch of "NIIP" RSE held a seminar in the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay.
In order to carry out explanatory activities on intellectual property issues among scientific institutions, universities and organizations (promotion of knowledge in the field of intellectual property) a seminar on the topic "Legal basis and registration of copyright. Invention and utility model as objects of industrial property. Electronic filing of applications for industrial property objects" was held in the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay on March 14, 2017 in Almaty.
The seminar was attended by 33 people (including associate professors, candidates of sciences), department heads, researchers, patent examiners and employees of NIIP branch in Almaty.
The welcoming speech was made by the head of the Training Center Zh.A.Serikbayeva, she briefly told about NIIP branch’s activities.
According to the preliminary approved program of the seminar, the employees of the branch gave lectures on the following topics: Legal basis and registration of copyright, invention and utility model as objects of industrial property; L.G. Dzhamanshalova, chief examiner of Division on patent research on inventions; Electronic filing of applications for industrial property; B.O. Nazarov, chief specialist of the Training Center.
The participants of the seminar asked questions regarding the registration of industrial property objects, copyright objects, electronic filing of applications for IP objects (including the advantages of filing electronic applications, etc.). Employees of "NIIP" branch gave qualified and exhaustive answers to the questions asked by the participants.
