“Intellectual property objects and its protection in the Republic of Kazakhstan” Workshop

On the occasion of the World Intellectual Property Day the Workshop on the theme “Intellectual property objects and their protection in the Republic of Kazakhstan” was held in “National agency for technological development” (NATD) on 18^th April 2017.

The Workshop was organized by “National Institute of Intellectual Property” RSE and “NATD” JSC.

Lecturers of the National Institute of Intellectual Property presented their presentations on the issues of protection the rights on inventions, utility models and selection achievements as well as the following issues were discussed:

• Provision and terms of examination of applications for inventions, utility models and selection achievements;

• The issues on expending the terms of granting patent;

• Patent databases including Kazakhstani and foreign databases;

• International registration of trademarks;

• Information interactions of NIIP;

• Submitting the electronic application;

The participants of the Workshop were concentrated on the issues of registration IP objects and expressed the willingness to further cooperation.
