In connection with the celebration of the International Intellectual Property Day on April 25, 2017 in Almaty in the Palace of schoolchildren, the training center of the branch of the RSE "National Institute of Intellectual Property" of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan ("NIIS" branch) held a "Meeting with young inventors and representatives of the political party «Nur Otan».
The welcoming speech was made by Z. Orynbekova, the director of NIIP branch in Almaty, she also informed the participants «On activities of the National Institute of Intellectual Property» of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The seminar was attended by representatives of The Department of Justice of Almaty, political party «Nur Otan», Kazakh National Agrarian University, Almaty Technological University, Kazakh National Pedagogical University named by Abai, Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University and pupils of grades 6-7 who attend circles of the Palace of schoolchildren and the staff of NIIS branch.
During the meeting the following issues were considered:
- about the Republican contest of achievements in the field of invention «Shapagat»;
- сopyright;
- on the ongoing activities in support of young inventors in the party "Nur Otan";
- inventions for the extraction of medicinal herbs;
- prospects for further expansion of competitive innovations in health care.
At the seminar, participants asked a lot of questions on the procedure for registration, filing and examination of applications for the grant of a patent for an industrial design, on the order of conducting business records and correspondence with an expert organization, the procedure and term of payment of the Tariffs, transferring rights of complex business activities, etc.
At the end of the seminar the participants thanked the organizers for providing information on intellectual property issues.
During the meeting, participants were asked questions regarding the registration of rights to copyright objects, filing an application for participation in the contest of achievements in the field of invention "Shapagat".
In conclusion, the meeting participants expressed their gratitude and noted the necessity and importance of holding such events.
