National Institute of Intellectual Property
On May 16, 2018, the National Institute of Intellectual Property held a seminar “Counteraction and Prevention of Corruption” within the framework of supporting the official state anti-corruption policy. Mr. Olzhas Mussagali, chief specialist of the Department for the Prevention of Corruption, Astana Department of the State Agency for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption Affairs, took part in the abovementioned seminar.
Mr. Olzhas Mussagali explained the main provisions of the National Report on Counteraction Corruption and the Standard of Corruption Risks approved by the Decree No. 155 of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 29, 2015. Special attention paid to clarifying the Methodological recommendations on internal analysis of corruption risks in the activities of state bodies, organizations and subjects of the quasi-public sector.
Mr. Andrey Trinkolenko, head of the Legal Affairs and Public Services Monitoring Department, National Institute of Intellectual Property, noted in his report that measures to prevent corruption provided by the Institute create an anti-corruption worldview among workers and heighten a legal consciousness that justify corruption risks.
The representative of the State Agency for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption Affairs answered the questions of the Institute’s staff and, summing up the results of the seminar, noted that civil servants and employees of enterprises of the quasi-public sector should contribute to the corruption prevention on a permanent basis.
