National Institute of Intellectual Property
June 27, 2018 in Astana, in the central office of the RSE "National Institute of Intellectual Property" held a round table "Intellectual Property as a Driver for the Development of the Capital", coincided to the 20th anniversary of the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the city of Astana.
The round table was attended by representatives of government agencies, organizations, research institutions, as well as patent attorneys, patent experts and experts of RSE "NIIP".
Opening the round table, the first deputy director of the RSE "National Institute of Intellectual Property" Bataeva KO. noted that at the moment Astana takes 2nd place among the regions of Kazakhstan in terms of the number of issued documents of title for inventions, utility models and trademarks.
The deputy head of the Innovation Ecosystem Development Center of Astana Innovations JSC spoke about effective solutions to the problems of the fast-growing metropolis, the strategy "Astana is a city of innovations" and the concept of "Smart City".
The peculiarities of technology transfer in the innovative ecosystem of the city were sounded in the speech of Dusembaev M.Sh., director of the Technology Transfer Center of the JSC "National Agency for Technological Development".
Nurkenov SA, Deputy Director of the Department for Innovation and Technology Transfer of the National Joint Stock Company “International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects”, continued the stated topic and reported on the initiatives of IGTIC aimed at the transition of Kazakhstan to a green economy.
The management of intellectual assets in the capital's university became the topic of the report by Tolybayev J.M., the patent attorney of the RK, the manager of intellectual property of the commercialization office of the Nazarbayev University Research and Innovation System.
General Director of LLP "Patent bureau" Dialogue ", patent attorney of RK Tusupova M.K. drew the attention of the round table participants to such a phenomenon, restraining the development of the capital market of intellectual property, as an abuse of the right to a trademark.
The presentation was completed by Ilyasova G.K., the head of the Office of Expertise of Applications for Inventions and Utility Models of RSE "NIIP", who summed up that the potential of intellectual property for the innovative development of Astana was far from exhausted. Bright examples of patented technical solutions, created and implemented in the capital, allow us to talk about the great innovative potential of the city.
In the ensuing discussion, which covered a wide range of issues raised, the head of the Department of Technological and Innovative Development of the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tileukazyly O., the managing director of the Department of Expertise of the Fund of Science JSC Myltykbaeva L.A., patent attorney RK Tagbergenova M.M. ., patent scientist of the Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S. Seifullin Sauganbaev A.U. and others.
Summing up, Bataeva K.O. thanked the participants and expressed hope for further discussion of the topics discussed in the follow-up events.
