National Institute of Intellectual Property
The final qualifying round of the N. Nazarbayev Fund Schools Challenge took place in Nazarbayev University on July 24-26, 2018. It was attended by 85 pupils from all regions and cities of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent.
The Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Institute of Intellectual Property are the challenge organizers. The co-organizers of the competition are Nazarbayev University, Cranfield University (Great Britain).
Qualifying rounds were held by representatives of Aerospace Schools Challenge from Cranfield University: Ian Hollingworth, Frank Jukes and Graham Stark. The jury also included Ruslan Shayakhmetov - Senior Maintenance Manager Air Astana, Assem Issabekova - Chief Manager of the Corporate Communications Sector of the “Samruk-Kazyna Trust” CF.
According to the results of the three-day rounds, the teams of the students from Aktobe region and Kyzylorda region were recognized as winners, as well as pupils from each regional team, recommended by Akimats of regions, Astana, Almaty and Shymkent (list of winners). Finalists as a prize are given the opportunity to visit the UK as part of a study tour to the Cranfield University from August 19 to 26, 2018.
At the end, the Vice-Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Natalya Pan delivered a congratulatory speech and wished good luck and further success to the finalists.
Within the framework of the final round, the challenge participants visited JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary, Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, Nazarbayev University, as well as city tour including the "Nur Alem" pavilion of the international exhibition EXPO-2017 and the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
“Samruk-Kazyna Trust” Corporate Fund and Air Astana, the flag carrier, are the general partners of the challenge.
