NAZARBAYEV FUND SCHOOLS CHALLENGE - 2019 HAS STARTED
School teams wishing to take part in the Challenge, to participate in the regional qualifying round, must register on the online platformhttp://shapagat.kazpatent.kz/en/nfsc.
Registration will be open from March 15 to May 10, 2019.
Following the regional selection, 17 teams, one from each region, will be admitted to the final qualifying round, which will be held in Astana from June 25 to 27, 2019, at the end of which finalist teams will be sent on a study tour to Cranfield University (United Kingdom) on August 19 to 26, 2019.
Participants of the Challenge are students of secondary schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan aged 16 to 18 years, fluent in English, having achievements in the field of physical, mathematical and natural sciences, as well as experience in independent project activities.
The Challenge is held under the patronage of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy.
The Challenge is organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nazarbayev University, National Institute of Intellectual Property and Cranfield University (United Kingdom).
The Challenge partners are Samruk-KazynaTrust Social Development Foundation and the National carrier Air Astana.
Air Astana is an official carrier of the Republican aerospace challenge for the third year in a row. The airline pays attention to the process of involving the younger generation in the aviation industry, as evidenced by its ownab-initio pilot training programmeof Kazakh pilots abroad. In addition, career days, presentations in educational institutions, excursions for schoolchildren on airline flight simulators are held on a regular basis.
The Challenge is conducted annually in order to stimulate and support the intellectual potential of Kazakhstani high school students, increase their interest in creating products of intellectual activity and familiarize the general public with the creative and scientific achievements of young people.
