On March 1, 2019, the Training Center of the branch “NIIP” was held a seminar for “Kaspi Bank” JSC on the theme “Legal Protection, Protection and Evaluation of Intellectual Property Objects”.

The main expert of the Department of Analytical Research on Trademarks and Industrial Designs, Gorbunova T.V., spoke about the main changes and additions in the legislation on trademarks, about the application procedures, explained in detail the violations of foreign trademarks, the chief specialist of the Training Center Nazarov B.O. spoke about the basics of copyright with good examples, about submitting an application and obtaining a certificate. In addition, Kuznetsov O.G., Director of Expert “Assessment Center “ LLP, acted as a guest lecturer on the topic “Issues of IP Assessment”. In his speech, he focused on such moments as the method of evaluation, the powers of the appraiser, the consideration of the appraiser's opinion in the courts, etc.

The seminar was attended by employees of legal departments of the bank.

The participants asked questions regarding protection, trademark infringement, the benefits of the Madrid system for the international registration of trademarks, public trademarks, damage assessment of trademarks, copyright disputes and others.
