National Institute of Intellectual Property
On March 12, 13, 14, 2019, a training seminar on «Legal protection of industrial designs, trademarks and appellations of origin» held in the branch of «National Institute of intellectual property» in Almaty.
Representatives of organizations attended the seminar: SP Elibayev, «CBS Partners» LLP, «South Kazakhstan state University M. Auezov», Shabalina and partners, «Water Oil Gas GROUP» LLP, «Center for the study of terrorism and extremism in the Republic of Kazakhstan» and others.
The main part of the seminar included lectures on industrial designs, trademarks and appellations of origin, as well as the issues of comparative analysis for the presence of identity or similarity of designations, court practice on industrial designs, examples of litigation on registered industrial designs, copyright, use of intellectual property rights and electronic filing of applications for intellectual property. Along with the theoretical material on these objects, practical classes were held.
During the seminar, representatives of domestic producers of Kazakhstan A. Amantaeva (JSC «Rakhat») and Zh.Baigunova (JSC «FoodMaster») shared practical experience of legal protection and protection of intellectual property in their activities.
At the end of the seminar, participants were awarded certificates.
