National Institute of Intellectual Property
Today, April 6, 2021, a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral cooperation between the National Institute of Intellectual Property (Kazpatent) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) was signed in the format of videoconferencing.
The signing ceremony with a welcoming speech was opened by the EUIPO Executive Director Christian Archambeau. In turn, the Kazpatent Director Yerbol Ospanov noted that the MoU will positively affect the development of cooperation between the two Offices and will make a great contribution to the IP development. The parties were presented with reviews of the Offices' activities.
The MoU aims at closer cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of IP management in order to improve IP systems and services. Offices will carry out bilateral cooperation related to trademarks and industrial designs.
