Kazpatent, together with the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), held a webinar for agricultural specialists on the legal protection of breeding achievements. The event was timed to coincide with the celebration of the International Day of Intellectual Property.
The event was attended by agricultural specialists from research institutes, agricultural experimental stations, and research institutes.
The webinar was moderated by Kaliya Batayeva, Advisor to the director of NIIP. On the part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Talgat Azhgaliyev, Chairman of the State Commission for Variety Testing of Agricultural Crops, made a welcoming speech.
During the webinar, topical issues related to copyright, the conclusion of transfer agreements, the patentability of selection achievements were considered.
They also discussed issues related to the activities of the State Commission for testing varieties.
At the end of the training seminar, Kazpatent experts provided advice on the legal protection of the objects considered during the seminar.
In total, about 100 people took part in the event.
