National Institute of Intellectual Property
On April 23, 2022, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the UK hosted a meeting between the Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov and scholarship holders of the International program “Bolashak”, who are currently undergoing a scientific internship at one of the top universities in the UK King's College London (KCL). For fellows who are employees of the Ministry of Justice, KCL has specially developed a scientific internship program "Forensic Science, Law and Intellectual Property".
The meeting began with a presentation by the director of the National Institute of Intellectual Property Yerbol Ospanov on the activities of the enterprise, where it was noted that KCL is studying the issues of legal protection of trademarks, design and geographical indications.
The presentation was continued by the Deputy Director of the Center for Forensic Examinations (CSE) Nazgul Imambaeva , who made a brief review of the scientific research of fellows at KCL. Particular attention was paid to questions about the upcoming work to implement the positive experience of the UK in the field of forensic research in our country.
In conclusion, Mira Kulikpaeva, Head of the Department of International Law and Comparative Law, spoke on behalf of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan (ILIS). She spoke about the main approaches to the formation of legislation and made a brief overview of the scientific research of fellows-employees of the ILIS.
Timur Suleimenov listened with great interest to the speakers, noted the uniqueness of the Bolashak program, and paid special attention to the need to introduce initiatives aimed at developing these areas of activity.
