Today, on the International Day of Intellectual Property, Kazpatent held the third "School of the Young Inventor". This time, the participants were high school students from three metropolitan schools of the AEO Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools and students from BINOM School.
The school is held to promote knowledge in the field of intellectual property, as well as to motivate the development of inventions among the youth of Kazakhstan.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the Acting Director of Kazpatent Abzal Yestayev. In his speech, Abzal Kuanyshbekovich congratulated colleagues and those present on the holiday, noting that this year the main place on the agenda of the International Intellectual Property Day is youth, and the theme of the celebration in 2022 sounds like, “IP and Youth: Innovating for a Better Future”.

Inkara Shertysheva, Head of the Development and International Cooperation Division, invited the children to the world of inventions, shared interesting facts from the activities of Kazpatent and spoke about competitions held by the Office, in which schoolchildren can take part.

Raushan Avvalova, Head of the Copyright Division, spoke about the possibilities of registering copyright for intellectual property in Kazakhstan and how to register copyright for a work of science, literature and art.

Experience in patenting her ideas was shared by the senior expert of the Department of Inventions, Utility Models and Selection Achievements Nazifa Baktybayeva, who, while still a schoolgirl, became the winner of the “Shapagat-2012” inventor competition in the young talent nomination.

Ramazan Azimzhan, a young inventor and winner of the “Shapagat-2021” competition, a 12th grade student of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Nur-Sultan, shared his story with the invention “Salt Water Boat”.

The event ended with an interactive quiz on the topic of the meeting, as a result of which the most active participants received memorable gifts.
The participants thanked the organizers for a useful and informative event. It is gratifying to note that some schoolchildren became interested in the issue of filing applications for registration of IP objects and received the necessary advice from Contact-center experts.
